OUTREACH

Outreach is the second part of a YWAM DTS. After the three months of lecture phase, we spend three months in different nations sharing the gospel! In my school, we split up between 19 different outreach locations, sending teams to different places in Asia, Europe, South America, Africa, and the US. 

I went on outreach to Northern Europe. We were a mobile team, spending time in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, the Faroe Islands, and Norway. My life was changed in a different way on outreach than in lecture phase. I grew up as part of the church and heard about all their missions trips and people sold out for Jesus to the point where they really would go anywhere for Him, but I had never been that. 

It was on outreach that I really experienced Jesus’ heart for people, and understood why people gave their lives for this. It goes so much deeper than I could have ever imagined, and I’ve gotten only a taste. I went to Europe with nine other YWAMers, three staff, and seven students including myself. These people became some of my best friends and just all around favorite people to spend time with. It really was just like traveling around Europe telling people about Jesus with my family.
