Mercy is not an eating disorder treatment program.
Mercy is a life transformation program.
Mercy is a ministry with a heart for women. They bring you into a family, and show you who Jesus really is. We live in a house together, and just like families do, we shop and go out to eat, we watch movies on Saturdays and spend time at church on Sundays. For me, this is one of the main things that made Mercy different than other programs. It was as if they said to me when I walked in “Your brokenness is welcome here. We all have it, you aren’t alone. We want you to join us in this journey to seek the face and heart of the King, and all you need to do is lay down the things that are not of Him." Although extremely hard, this is what I did, and I now describe my six months at Mercy as both the hardest and best 6 months of my life.

The word says "Who the Son sets free is free indeed", and Mercy provides a front row seat for women to be able to watch the power and might of Jesus obliterate the strongholds of satan over your life. Freedom is a promise to all God's kids, and you cannot leave this place without knowing the reality of that promise. They don't teach you how to live with an eating disorder, or how to cut less, they teach you what it means to receive REAL LOVE that comes only from the Father, a love strong enough to pull you out of whatever pit you're in.

I left mercy with more sisters and mamas than I ever thought I would have in my life. It truly is a family, this ministry. They challenge you in your faith and push you closer to Jesus, and it is all out of such a kind and loving place, each staff member with a genuine desire to see the bondage over your life broken and for you walk out the freedom Jesus already paid for you to have on the cross.
